The = new reporting module leverages real-time data generated by SD=E2=80=99s Fli= ghtDeck Freedom=C2=AE (FDF) datalink service, which accurately captures fue= l burn. The system then calculates each flight=E2=80=99s carbon emissions based on = the amount of fuel burned, fuel type and blend. This presents operators wit= h validated emissions data for individual aircraft, an entire fleet over a = specified period, or for a selected flight. The emissions data is run through a refined calculation developed to comply= with all regulatory standards to determine the amount of carbon emitted. T= he reports display a variety of metrics, including how much CO2 has been ge= nerated, in which airspace it was produced, and how this compares to previo= us or other similar trips. This streamlines the computations relating to mandatory and voluntary emiss= ion reporting and offsetting, making it easier for operators to present pre= cise reports. =E2=80=9CWith the industry pledging to be carbon neutral by 2050, we recogn= ize that aircraft operators need to monitor each flight=E2=80=99s environme= ntal impact. The carbon reporting tool is especially beneficial to those responsible f= or environmental social governance, ESG, initiatives and ever-evolving CORS= IA compliance. Satcom Direct adding automated carbon re= porting tool to SD Pro operating system
=C2=A0
Satcom Direct, the business aviation solutions provider, is a= dding a highly automated carbon reporting tool to the SD Pro=C2=AE operatin= g system. The new reporting module leverages real-time data generated by SD= =E2=80=99s FlightDeck Freedom=C2=AE (FDF) datalink service, which accuratel= y captures fuel burn.

The system then calculates each flight=E2= =80=99s carbon emissions based on the amount of fuel burned, fuel type and = blend. This presents operators with validated emissions data for individual= aircraft, an entire fleet over a specified period, or for a selected fligh= t.

The emissions data is run through a refined calculation devel= oped to comply with all regulatory standards to determine the amount of car= bon emitted. The reports display a variety of metrics, including how much C= O2 has been generated, in which airspace it was produced, and how this comp= ares to previous or other similar trips.

This streamlines the co= mputations relating to mandatory and voluntary emission reporting and offse= tting, making it easier for operators to present precise reports.

=E2=80=9CWith the industry pledging to be carbon neutral by 2050, we reco= gnize that aircraft operators need to monitor each flight=E2=80=99s environ= mental impact. We=E2=80=99ve developed this new tool to help them streamlin= e the calculations, provide seamless access to offset options and give them= control over their own reporting and carbon strategy,=E2=80=9D says Jim Je= nsen, Founder and CEO of Satcom Direct.

=E2=80=9CSD customers no= longer need to rely solely on third-party providers to analyze the figures= and generate the reports. It saves time and ensures that all of an operato= r=E2=80=99s flight departments, no matter where they are in the world, use = the same standard to ensure consistent calculations. The carbon reporting t= ool is especially beneficial to those responsible for environmental social = governance, ESG, initiatives and ever-evolving CORSIA compliance. We know t= he industry will welcome the simplicity and convenience.=E2=80=9D

Information is presented graphically and can be used to generate carbon c= ertificates, transactional records for purchased credits, and authenticated= tracking information. Operators benefit from seamless access to qualified = carbon credits via approved registries, and carbon credits can be transacte= d via the carbon offsetting platform Patch, which is integrated with SD Pro= .

A choice of over 140 accessible offset projects is available, = of which SD will highlight preferred options; however, customers can purcha= se other project credits if desired.

Initial availability is ant= icipated by August 2023. The first phase will enable operators to view CO2 = emissions, purchase offset credits, and access associated certificates and = records. Satcom Direct will showcase the new module and its ease of use dur= ing this year=E2=80=99s EBACE at booth T106.

Satcom Direct (SD) = is founded on a core belief in understanding the value of time and the impo= rtance of maximizing it. The company mobilizes the most cutting-edge techno= logies to enable connection wherever you might be. SD=E2=80=99s proprietary= technologies span business aviation and government sectors, with the singu= lar goal of leading connectivity industry standards.

Duncan Avia= tion delivers fully refurbished Citation 750
= =C2=A0
When this Citation 750 arriv= ed at Duncan Aviation=E2=80=99s full-service facility in Battle Creek, Mich= igan, the interior was simple, beige, and lacked any pattern or design. The= headrests were uncomfortable and didn=E2=80=99t function well, the seat de= sign was plain and standard, and the interior was worn. The experts at Dunc= an Aviation completely overhauled the aircraft=E2=80=99s interior and exter= ior, turning it into a masterpiece that will withstand the test of time.
The owner of the aircraft envisioned a classic updated scheme that= included subtle patterns in a cool grey, almost navy colour scheme. Highli= ghts of the interior included quilted double-stitched diamond pattern inser= ts in the seats and dark, rich navy sidewalls.

=E2=80=9CHe wante= d the seats to be the stars,=E2=80=9D said Duncan Aviation Lead Designer He= ather Pridemore. =E2=80=9CThe contouring shape of the seats, accentuated wi= th blue accent stitch lines, make the seats feel taller and definitely help= them stand out.=E2=80=9D

The stitching was done using Duncan Av= iation=E2=80=99s new state-of-the-art CNC machine that allows the upholster= y team to create perforation, multi-colour sewing, and multi-colour embroid= ery on aircraft seats and panels.

=E2=80=9CThis machine allows u= s to control the quality and turntimes, and lets our imaginations run wild = with possible designs,=E2=80=9D says Duncan Aviation=E2=80=99s Upholstery T= eam Leader Travis Smith. =E2=80=9CThe designs are pretty close to endless w= ith what we can do on quilted panels.=E2=80=9D

The owner liked t= he dark, cool grey theme in his interior, but wanted to bring in a splash o= f color. The result was dark, rich blue lower sidewalls that give a classic= , yet unique look to the interior. They tie in perfectly with the blue stit= ching on the seats.

The carpet is another highlight of the inter= ior. The owner told Pridemore he wanted a darker carpet, so she picked a pa= ttern that had light accents in it to help balance the darkness of the lowe= r sidewalls and the lightness of the seats.

=E2=80=9CEverything = tied in so well together,=E2=80=9D said Pridemore. =E2=80=9CBeing a small a= ircraft, it was a priority to make everything look and feel cohesive and fl= ow seamlessly.=E2=80=9D

Pridemore incorporated black composite e= bony veneer, and updated all the plating to a satin chrome finish. The resu= lt is a straightforward, classic, clean, and updated interior.

T= he owner came to Duncan Aviation with an idea of what he wanted for the ext= erior, and Pridemore made tweaks until it was perfected. The result was a s= cheme that brings the outside of the aircraft to the inside, highlighted by= navy blues, silver, and gold accents.

The finished product was = a modern classic, sleek look that Pridemore said fit perfectly on the Citat= ion without looking overwhelming.

=E2=80=9CThe long, lean lines = running aft to forward made the Citation look bigger than it actually is,= =E2=80=9D explained Pridemore. =E2=80=9CThe lines pull the aircraft, making= it feel longer and more spacious.=E2=80=9D

While the aircraft w= as down, Duncan Aviation technicians also performed a few minor maintenance= due items and installed the Collins Pro Line Fusion integrated avionics sy= stem and the Collins Venue cabin management system.

First-time Flight for Poodle Reunites Dog-Siblings = After Eight Years
=C2=A0
With more pet owners turning t= o private jet travel to ensure their pets' safety and comfort, Air Part= ner, a global aviation services group, recently facilitated an extraordinar= y pet travel flight request to reunite a 45-pound Poodle named Candy with h= er estranged sibling after eight years apart. The flight, which covered ove= r 1,000 miles and lasted almost three hours, allowed Candy and her owner to= fly side-by-side in the comfort of a private cabin, avoiding the restricti= ons and stress of commercial airlines.

Bringing larger-sized bre= eds on board airlines can be challenging due to restrictions, and cargo-hol= d is a less-than-favourable choice for transporting pets due to wellbeing c= oncerns, including the stress and anxiety caused by being separated, varyin= g temperatures and strange, loud environments. Air Partner=E2=80=99s Privat= e Jets team ensured all the necessary considerations were made for Candy= 9;s first flight. The team recommended having already-familiar items onboar= d the Beechcraft Hawker 400XP to help keep the Poodle at ease.

VOO Announces a New Int= egration with Leon
=C2=A0
VOO, the B2B private jet marketplace t= hat delivers instant bookings, will be integrated with Leon, a web-based av= iation software supporting flight operations management and scheduling soft= ware for business charter, in middle May 2023. Additionally, operators ca= n synchronize each VOO booking with Leon to receive the same benefit. Leon = bookings can be processed in Leon, and VOO bookings in VOO.flights without = conflicts with aircraft availability.

Thanks to VOO=E2=80=99s sm= art data transfer, the flight can be quickly imported into the Leon OPS mod= ule, making Leon more efficient. This automation increases the daily operat= ional performance, as all the data from the sealed deal can now be transfer= red to the operational teams. VOO calculates accurate quotes, so brokers ca= n book instantly, and payments can be made 24/7 with VOOpay, even on weeken= ds and holidays =E2=80=93 all with maximum speed and high security of data = transfer provided by VOO.

=E2=80=9CLeon Software is the central = hub for managing critical data and maintaining high levels of efficiency fo= r many operators.
