On the west bound = passage through SOMS, there are various points between Horsburgh up to = OFB in which the vessel will pass close to the charted = wrecks/obstructions

will be close to the = safety counter with distance less than 2 cables, specially near the batu = berhanti area, off buffalo rock, off Cape Richado, off raffles area, = near and at the OFB.

Considering the fact = that the height of tide in mentioned area are variable and as the = vessel=E2=80=99s draft is 20.5 m E.K, at above mentioned points the = company=E2=80=99s UKC policy might not be met, unless vessel pass the = area in high tide period

And with due regard = to the fact that the SOMS is a congested area with high traffic density, = there isn=E2=80=99t enough sea room in order to deviate from charted = track in case of emergency

looks like that the = west bound passage through SOMS in laden condition is prone to risks = for safe navigation

As soon as the west = bound passage confirmed by our principals and the Charterer announce the = details of the Pilots,

And In order to = prepare a detailed passage plan,

Shortrer distance is = via west of Brunei but on this route considering navigational features = particularly at Karimata strait consiering present draft , it has it's = own risks .
